Incident Description:
On February 5, 2021, PZC.nl reported a dust explosion in Terneuzen, Netherlands, while wood pellets were being unloaded in a silo at a residential complex.
The explosion, which occurred at around 9:45 a.m., is believed to have been caused by overpressure that occurred when the silo was being filled. Firefighters immediately cordoned the area off and inspected the explosion site.
No injuries were reported but the partially unfurnished roof of the wood pellet system was repaired.
