On April 18, 2023, Record China reported a fire at a wooden door manufacturer in Wuyi County, China.
The local government reported that the fire began at 2:04 p.m. Emergency responders, including firefighters, police officers, and emergency medical personnel, arrived on the scene after receiving a call that people were trapped on the third floor.
After the fire was brought under control, two rounds of search and rescue operations were carried out, and 11 bodies were found by 4:00 a.m. the next day. The announcement added that those responsible for the incident have been detained and a more thorough investigation is underway.
