On October 27, 2022, NHK reported a fire at a plywood manufacturer in Akita, Japan.
According to the police, at around 10:30 a.m., an employee discovered that the wood chips in the silo inside the factory were on fire. They notified the fire department. When firefighters rushed to the scene, they discovered smoke and immediately went to work extinguishing the fire.
No injuries were reported.
