Incident Description:
On July 7, 2023, Forli Today reported a fire at a plastics fabrication plant in Villa Selva, Italy.
An alarm was received around 8:30 a.m. Six teams from the provincial command in Viale Roma responded immediately. The immediate priority was to contain the flames, which had already engulfed some machinery and two silos.
As the morning progressed, operations continued to ensure safety and control the situation. In order to prevent further outbreaks, thermal imaging cameras were used to monitor the temperature inside the silos. Efforts were also made to clear the fumes that had spread throughout the shed.
As an added precaution, the Nbcr team was present on-site to monitor air quality both inside and outside the facility. Their thorough assessment further contributed to maintaining a secure environment.
No injuries were reported.
