Incident Description:
On April 20, 2020, Powder & Bulk Solids reported a fire at a grain terminal in Ottawa Lake, Michigan.
The fire ignited in a 115-foot silo. According to the Monroe News, the fire and smoke could be seen for at least a mile and was visible from the US-23 freeway.
The Ottawa Lake Volunteer Fire Department arrived shortly after 9:25 a.m. and worked throughout the day. Firefighters remained on the scene until the next day to monitor the smoldering silo and assess the damage.
No injuries were reported.
