Incident Description:
On August 10, 2023, KPIC reported a fire at a sawmill in Roseburg, Oregon.
The mill fire ignited just past 5:00 a.m. Douglas County Fire District No. 2 reported that their crews, with the help of the millwrights, successfully tackled the situation, gaining the necessary access to bring the fire under control.
The flames were confined to the chip bin area. The firefighters’ diligent efforts extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading further.
No injuries were reported.
