Incident Description:
On September 27, 2021, KARK reported a fire at a rice mill in Carlisle, Arkansas.
Multiple trucks responded to the incident. Sprinklers did activate once the building reached a certain temperature, but after authorities saw the amount of water coming out of the facility, they asked for them to be turned off.
Rice plant representatives said there were no injuries associated with this fire and did not provide any information as to what could have caused the fire. According to the plant’s chief counsel, structural repairs will be made, but the building will not be reconstructed.
