Incident Description:
On September 30, 2019, India Today reported a boiler explosion at a cement plant in Chittorgarh district’s Chanderiya in India.
According to the police, coal caught fire as the temperature rose in the coil plant. When the boiler exploded, burning pieces of coal fell on the workers below.
Out of the 15 people wounded, 11 of them are said to be critically injured, with burns on over 70% of their body.
The Chittorgarh District Collector said that an administrative level inquiry into the matter had been initiated. Police are also investigating the matter.
