On November 30, 2019, Joy Online reported an explosion and fire at a tissue paper manufacturing company in Budumburam, Ghana.
The explosion occurred at around 1:30 p.m. Witnesses told reporters that they heard a sudden explosion, accompanied by huge masses of white smoke.
Three fire tenders called to the scene could not control the flames before the facility and its warehouse were completely burned down.
Property damage was estimated at GH₵3million. No injuries were reported but over 600 people were left without employment.
