On February 7, 2019, the Kronen Zeitung reported a dust explosion at a facility in Baumgartenberg, Austria.
When a 37-year-old worker emptied a bag of paint granules into a paint-mixing machine, a dust explosion accompanied by a jet flame ocurred. He suffered burns to his face while the paint granule bag burned. His co-worker notified the company fire brigade, which extinguished the flames while he provided first aid to the injured worker. The worker was later taken to the hospital for additional treatment.
