Incident Description:
On August 6, 2018, the Witney Gazette reported a fire at a flour mill near Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, UK. The incident occurred shortly before 8:20 a.m., when a shrink-wrapping machine caught fire. By the time fire crews arrived, the mill was filled with smoke but had been safely evacuated.
On-site maintenance staff worked with firefighters to dismantle the machine to remove the source of the smoke. Fire crews then used high-powered fans to clear the building of smoke so that staff could re-enter.
There were no injuries reported and the fire has been confirmed as accidental.
