On May 24, 2023, WHBL reported a fire at a metal stamping business in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
The incident occurred at around 1:00 p.m. Upon arrival, nine units from the Sheboygan Fire Department were met with heavy smoke and flames originating from a dust collector unit in the welding area. Their prompt actions led to the rapid extinguishment of the fire, effectively preventing its spread to other equipment. Ventilation efforts and salvage assistance continued until approximately 3:00 p.m.
The fire was attributed to a hot ember from welding, resulting in damages estimated between $15,000 to $20,000.
