Incident Description:
On October 12, 2023, WHIO reported an explosion at a diesel engine manufacturer in Moraine, Ohio.
At approximately 2:00 a.m., Moraine firefighters and medics were dispatched to the manufacturing facility. They found that a dust explosion occurred within a smoke extractor of one of the machines.
Following the incident, all workers were promptly evacuated from the building but permitted to re-enter around 3:10 a.m. Moraine firefighters concluded their operations and departed from the scene just before 3:20 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
