Incident Description:
On July 13, 2021, CBC reported a fire at a lumber mill in Weymouth, Nova Scotia.
The Southville Fire Department was paged at around 6:45 p.m. about the fire. Several fire departments from Weymouth, Digby, and the surrounding areas were called in to assist. Relief crews were called in after 6:00 a.m. Wednesday.
Hours later, crews were still on the scene digging for hot spots to extinguish.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
