On July 24, 2023, RBB 24 reported a silo fire at a grain processing facility in Teltow-Fläming, Germany.
The silo was situated between Diedersdorf and Blankenfelde-Mahlow, and the fire involved straw bales covered with car tires and tarpaulins.
Thick black smoke billowed from the fire and could be seen from a great distance. A strong odour accompanied the smoke, leading the fire brigade to advise residents to keep their windows and doors closed.
