Description of Grain Silo Fire:
On May 18, 2018 the New Richmond News reported a barn and silo fire in the town of Baldwin, Wisconsin. The fire was reported at 4:00 pm and multiple fire agencies responded to put out the blaze.
No injuries were reported at the time of the grain silo fire, although statements from a St. Croix County Sheriff, indicate that some first responders may have suffered heat or smoke related sickness. Windy conditions made fighting the fire difficult and 25 cattle were killed in the fire.
