Incident Description:
On June 1, 2021, KNUJ reported an explosion and fire at a pork producer in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota.
The incident occurred at around 5:00 a.m. in one of the facility’s silos and blew the tops off of several grain storage silos.
No injuries were reported. KEYC confirmed that no animals were in the vicinity.
The incident is being investigated by the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office.
