On November 6, 2021, News 1st reported a silo explosion at a bird feed production plant in Nochchiyagama, Sri Lanka.
The 12-foot-high rice storage tank exploded in the morning and buried the woman under mounds of rice. She was ruled dead upon admission to hospital.
