Incident Description:
On October 30, 2019, Siouxland Proud reported a fire at a grain elevator in Sioux City, Iowa.
When fire crews arrived shortly after 5:00 p.m., they found flames above a loading bay and on the adjacent railroad tracks. Using shovels, they cleared grain away from the site as they worked on extinguishing the fire.
Initial reports suggested that an equipment motor burned up, igniting the fire. No injuries were reported.
