Incident Description:
On July 12, 2021, the Grand Forks Herald reported a fire at a grain elevator in East Grand Forks, Minnesota.
At around 4:10 a.m., the East Grand Forks Fire Department received a report of fire and smoke at the facility. When firefighters arrived on location, they encountered smoke and fire emanating from the elevator’s east side. A section of the floor was also found to be burning in the building.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Damage to the structure was estimated at $20,000.
