Incident Description:
On May 14, 2021, the Times-Republication reported a dust explosion at an agribusiness in Jefferson, Iowa.
Local fire and emergency crews responded to the incident, which occurred at around 8:00 a.m. Employees at a nearby business reported that their property shook and they saw flames coming out of one of the concrete grain silos.
No injuries were reported. However, KCCI reported that a second, smaller explosion occurred the next day at 7:15 p.m. The cause is under investigation.
