On August 8, 2023, the Evesham Journal reported a fire at an agribusiness in Sheriffs Lench, UK.
Firefighters were dispatched when a 35-ton grain dryer began to smoulder. Two crews from Evesham Fire Station conducted an investigation using a thermal imaging camera. They discovered hotspots within the grain and proceeded to use a triple extension ladder. They then dampened the affected area using a hose reel jet.
After confirming that no more hot spots were present, control of the scene was handed over to the farmer at 2.34 p.m. No injuries were reported.
