Incident Description:
On September 7, 2022, KLKN-TV reported a fire at a grain processing plant in Lincoln, Nebraska, prompting evacuation of the building.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue was called to the scene at around 1:00 a.m., after a grain dryer’s temperature began soaring. As the plant’s workers followed safety procedures and scrambled to contain the danger, crews were on standby.
It was feared that other machines might overheat as well, jeopardizing the entire facility, but that worst case scenario was avoided.
No injuries were reported.
