Incident Description:
On October 20, 2021, the Lancashire Post reported a grain dryer fire at a grain processing plant in Claughton-on-Brock, UK.
Fire engines from Preston, Fulwood, Bamber Bridge, Lancaster, Penwortham and Blackburn rushed to the scene around 8.30 a.m.
The fire involved a large amount of grain in a dryer located in an outbuilding. Using hose reel jets, fog spikes, and a thermal imaging camera, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus got it under control.
A number of fire engines were later withdrawn from the scene, but crews remained to extinguish any hot spots.
No injuries were reported.
