On August 7, 2023, Die Harke reported a fire at a grain facility in Haßbergen, Germany.
Firefighting teams from Haßbergen, Nienburg, Heemsen, Drakenburg, Anderten, Gadesbünden, and Rohrsen all responded. When the emergency crews arrived shortly after 5:45 a.m.,, they discovered a fire in the grain silo. Heat had built up in the drying silo, leading to flames emerging from the air outlet pipe.
By 6:00 a.m. the fire brigade had successfully contained the fire, ensuring no injuries occurred. The total damage to property is yet to be determined.
