On October 17, 2023, Diregional reported a fire at a grain facility in Faxinal dos Guedes, Brazil.
The military fire department responded to reports of a silo fire. They found it confined to a grain dryer. Facility employees helped remove excess material. Three thousand litres of water were used, followed by 12,000 litres from a tanker truck. The fire was out after seven hours.
No injuries were reported.
