Incident Description:
On October 28, 2019, WCLO reported a dryer fire at a corn drying facility in Albion, Wisconsin.
The Edgerton Fire Protection District Chief said that crews were first called to the site at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, and scheduled to return on Monday the 28h to help the owner remove the remaining corn in the bin.
He suspected that heat melted through electrical insulation and started a fire in the adjacent control room, and estimated the damage at close to $100,000.
No injuries were reported.
