Approximately 35 firefighters from West Yorkshire Fire Service responded to a fire at the facility. At its peak, the fire required significant manpower to contain. Nearby residents reported hearing multiple explosions, leading to the temporary closure of Stanningley Bypass.
The fire service later confirmed that the fire had been fully extinguished, thanks to the early and aggressive response from the firefighting teams.
All individuals present at the premises were safely evacuated and no injuries were reported.
