On November 1, 2019, the Royston Crow reported a dust fire at a mineral and chemical processing facility in Steeple Morden, UK.
Fire crews from four departments arrived at 6:40 a.m. and found a fire measuring approximately 100 x 50 metres on an external conveyor belt in an industrial unit. Firefighters used two jets and one thermal imaging camera to extinguish the flames, and were able to return to their stations by 9:00 a.m.
There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire was listed as accidental.
