Incident Description:
On July 12, 2019, MyArkLaMiss.com reported an explosion and fire at a laminate panel plant in Simsboro, Louisiana.
Fire crews arrived shortly after 8:40 p.m. The fire is believed to have resulted from a spark in the factory’s dryer system. A company representative said that the spark may have caused a pressure vent to pop off, which may explain the explosion sounds heard by witnesses. According to KNOE, the Lincoln Parish Fire Chief confirmed that no explosion occurred.
