Incident Description:
On June 18, 2020, Powder & Bulk Solids reported a fire in a dust collector and four silos at a composites manufacturing plant in New London, North Carolina.
The Stanley County Fire Marshal said that the fire caused several small explosions. Although some silo-related equipment was damaged, plant safeguards prevented significant damages.
No injuries were reported. Firefighters remained on scene for a while afterward to monitor the silos for hotspots.
