Incident Description:
On May 30, 2019, the Hindusian Times reported an explosion at a feed factory in Kharauri village, India.
A supervisor was killed and nine workers were injured in the incident, which occurred at around 1:30 a.m. The supervisor, who was standing near a boiler when it exploded, was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Three fire engines Sirhind and Patiala doused the fire that ignited in the factory after the explosion.
The Mullepur station house officer said the boiler exploded when raw material was shifted to it using mechanical belts. The police confirmed that they had started inquest proceedings and were recording the statements of the injured persons to find out the exact cause of the blast.
The factory owner said that the explosion was the first to occur since the factory was set up in 1999. He said that the company would bear all the expenses incurred on the treatment of the injured workers.
