On August 28, 2018, Reuters reported that five people were killed by an explosion at an aluminum plant in Jiangyin, China. The incident occurred at around 2:00 a.m. Two people died at the scene while three more died in hospital. One more person is in the hospital in a non-life-threatening condition. Chinese officials stated that the cause of the incident is still under investigation.
