Incident Description:
On September 22, 2022, RMF 24 reported an explosion at a coal production plant in Dąbrowa Górnicza, Poland.
According to the press officer of the fire brigade, the explosion occurred at around 2:40 p.m. in the coal chamber of the furnace. The blast caused significant damage to the furnace and a section of the hall building. Approximately 60 firefighters and 15 vehicles responded to the scene, although no fire was observed following the explosion.
Most of the injuries sustained were burns. There were six workers present in the hall at the time, with all of them suffering wounds and burns. Three were in serious condition, according to Polish News.
The investigation is ongoing.
