Incident Description:
On September 17, 2019, Powder & Bulk Solids reported a dust explosion at a cosmetics manufacturing plant in Carlstadt, New Jersey.
A representative of the Carlstadt Police Department said that the incident occurred at around 1:00 p.m., while a 58-year-old employee was mixing cosmetic products in a 55-gal drum. She was taken to the hospital.
No other injuries were reported. An OSHA investigation is in progress.
