Incident Description:
On July 8, 2023, Hometown Stations reported a fire at a tire manufacturing facility in Findlay, Ohio.
Firefighters from the Findlay Fire Department responded at around 7:00 p.m. after a fire started in dust collectors on the roof and ductwork attached to the plant. The company’s internal fire brigade assisted in bringing the situation under control within a few hours.
One Findlay firefighter was taken to the hospital due to heat exhaustion. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
