Incident Description:
On August 10, 2020, Powder & Bulk Solids reported a fire at a plastics recycling plant in Clyde, Ohio.
The Clyde Fire Department Chief said that the fire appeared to have started at about 7:30 a.m. in a dust collector on the exterior of the plant. After igniting, flames moved into the ductwork and the plant’s roof. Two processing rooms were also damaged.
Four area fire departments responded. Workers inside the plant evacuated safely and no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
