Incident Description:
On October 22, 2019, Powder & Bulk Solids reported that operations had resumed at a sugar mill in Burdekin, Australia, on October 17 after it had been shut down for 12 days following a conveyor system fire.
The fire ignited in the bagasse conveyor system on October 5 at about 6:00 p.m. No one was injured, but the fire damaged the conveyor systems and related electrical systems.
The cause is still under investigation.
