Incident Description:
On February 22, 2019, the Reading Eagle reported a structure fire at a scrap metal yard in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Firefighters arrived shortly after 4:45 p.m. According to the Leesport Fire Deputy Chief, they found a two-story building with a conveyor belt system on fire. A cloud of thick black smoke could be seen from Route 222, which runs beside the scrap yard.

After laying two hose lines, about 50 firefighters from eight companies brought the fire under control within 15 minutes.

No injuries were reported but the conveyor belt system and the building were heavily damaged. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

An establishment search turned up one OSHA inspection for Royal Green LLC in Reading, Pennsylvania, but it was not flagged for combustible dust.
