Incident Description:
On July 7, 2023, the Door County Daily News reported a fire at an animal feed processor in Forestville, Wisconsin.
The incident occurred just before 9:30 p.m. Initially reported as a silo fire, the firefighters found that the flames were outside the structure rather than inside it. The entire operation lasted around 45 minutes and required 1000 gallons of water. The fire’s cause was attributed to a hot bearing on a conveyor belt, which ignited the spilled feed.
Besides damage to the conveyor belt, no other major harm occurred. No injuries were reported.
