Incident Description:
On June 19, 2019, the West Australian reported a structural fire at a coal mine in Collie, Australia.
Firefighters arrived soon after the incident was reported at 2:30 a.m. It took almost three hours to contain the fire.
On June 20, the West Australian reported that the fire affected two conveyors that feed coal storage bins but energy supplies were not disrupted. Mining operations were temporarily suspended and non-essential personnel were sent home.
No injuries were reported.
