On February 1, 2020, the Shropshire Star reported a fire at a renewable energy products company in Much Wenlock, Shropshire, UK.
Firefighters responded soon after receiving reports of smoke coming from the biomass boiler, which contained wood chips. The brigade consisted of five appliances including the aerial ladder platform and a high volume pumping unit.
The Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service area manager said that the fire was “not a major incident’ but several personnel were needed to carry in water. An incident command unit was also set up.
No injuries were reported.
