On January 1, 2023, News 24 reported a boiler explosion and fire at a polyester and polypropylene film manufacturer in Nashik, India.
According to the Times of India, the fire started at around 11:00 a.m. and burned until late in the evening despite the presence of 20 fire engines. Two workers were killed and 17 others injured. The injured required hospital care.
The incident is under investigation.
