High School Dust Collector Fire Incident:
On January 17, 2018, shortly after 10 am fire services were called to General McLane High School in Edinboro, as a dust collector situated just outside the school’s wood shop started smoking heavily, YourErie reported.
Gradually, smoke began to fill the north part of the building and finally spread across the entire facility, according to Lancer Ledger. Students were evacuated and gathered together in the school’s gym. Students were eventually sent home as the firefighters had difficulties ventilating the smoke from the building.
No one was hurt. The cause of the fire remains unknown and no information is available on the scale of the damages.
