Incident Description:
On July 27, 2020, Prince George Matters reported an explosion and fire at a wood pellet manufacturer in Prince George, British Columbia.
When firefighters arrived shortly before 5:00 p.m., they found smoke issuing from a conveyor system. They doused several conveyors with smouldering wood material inside.
No one was injured and the damage is estimated at $50,000.00. According to MyPGNow, the company issued a statement confirming that the incident is under investigation by its staff and WorkSafeBC.
