Incident Description:
On April 1, 2020, Les 2 Rives reported a conveyor belt fire at a steel manufacturer in Contrecœur, Quebec.
The fire ignited at around 5:50 a.m. and generated a lot of smoke due to grease making contact with the conveyor. 35 firefighters responded due to the amount of smoke and the fact that the fire was quickly gaining momentum.
Everything was declared under control approximately two hours later, at around 7:45 a.m. No injuries were reported.
