On March 27, 2020, WCAX reported a fire at a lumber yard in North Clarendon, Vermont.
The fire broke out in the kiln building at around 3:00 p.m. 16 fire departments responded and succeeded in putting it out.
The Clarendon Fire Chief said that eight employees were working at the time, but they were safely evacuated. He said that some lumber was salvageable, but the building where the fire occurred would have to be demolished.
No injuries were reported.
