On November 13, 2019, Powder & Bulk Solids reported a dust fire at a baby formula company in Covington, Ohio.
Covington Fire and Rescue responded shortly after 5:30 a.m. According to the chief, they found the fire contained in the waste disposal system, so they opened some chutes to access and suppress it. He added that dust from baby formula byproducts may have caused the fire.
No injuries were reported. Operations at the facility were temporarily halted after the fire.
