Description of Dust Collector Fire:
On June 13, 2018 kpcnews reported a dust collector fire at the automotive parts manufacturer Multimatic, in Butler, Indiana. The fire was first reported at 10:58 am on Tuesday 12 June. Firefighters, paramedics and police attended the scene. All employees were evacuated and no injuries were reported.
According to the Butler Fire Chief, the fire started in the dust collector system at Multimatic. The fire was declared under control at 11:56 am on June 13. Earlier this year kpcnews reported that Multimatic Indiana had announced plans to create 23 new jobs as part of a $8 million investment in new manufacturing equipment, including roll-forming, robotic welding and assembly equipment.
