Incident Description:
On October 19, 2019, Fox 26 reported a structural fire at a timber products company in Medford, Oregon.
When firefighters arrived, they found smoke rising out of one of the buildings. According to a Medford Fire-Rescue representative, the fire appeared to be coming from inside the walls of the building. They spent several hours putting out the fire in the board spaces.
All emergency alarms and sprinklers went off properly, but due to the location being a timber mill, extra precautions were taken to prevent the fire from propagating.
Fire investigators are investigating how the fire started and why it was in the walls.
